Job Title: Patent Agent with Aerospace/Engine Technology Background
Experience: Registered patent agent with examining experience or patent drafting experience in a law firm setting, with preference for previous experience as a patent examiner and industry experience.
Salary Range: $112,000 - $225,000

Venable LLP's Patent Prosecution and Counseling group is seeking a Patent Agent with a background in aerospace engineering and engine technology to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work exclusively on technology prosecution matters in one of Venable's offices in Washington, ., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Responsibilities:
- Work exclusively on patent prosecution matters
- Use deep technical knowledge in aerospace engineering and engine technology
- Provide counsel on maximizing the value of clients' intellectual property portfolios

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
- Strong preference for previous experience as a patent examiner
- Industry experience is a plus
- Excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability
