Global Transportation Finance Paralegal - Join the Team at a Top Law Firm in Miami

If so, Vedder Price is looking for you! We are seeking a Global Transportation Finance Paralegal to join our Miami office and provide support to our Global Transportation Finance group.

As a Global Transportation Finance Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel on high-profile business transactions. Your responsibilities will include assisting with leasing and loan transactions, managing and coordinating closings, reviewing due diligence materials, and preparing and reviewing legal documents. This position also offers the opportunity for international work, managing International Registry filings, and annual billable hours.

Our ideal candidate is a quick learner with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. You should have a Bachelor's degree, with a . preferred, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lending and transactional work. Familiarity with UCCs is also preferred. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required.

Responsibilities:

- Provide paralegal support to the Global Transportation Finance group
- Interact with clients and counsel during business transactions
- Assist with business leasing and loan transactions
- Manage and coordinate transaction closings
- Review and organize due diligence materials and client records
- Manage, prepare, and distribute post-closing sets and other materials
- Prepare and review UCC filings and documentation
- Draft and proof closing documents, materials, and correspondence
- Manage International Registry filings
- Log a target 1500 billable hours annually

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required, . preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lending/asset-based financing and transactional work preferred
- Familiarity with UCCs is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to work overtime
