Legal Specialist II - Provide legal support services for multiple states, enterprise-wide functions and/or complex litigation through complex legal assignments and projects.

Location: Hybrid model (remote and office) within 50 miles of Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing, analyzing, and evaluating legal documents such as contracts, legal memorandum, objections to subpoenas, regulatory filings and pleadings.
- Conducting legal research and analysis and recommending appropriate course of action.
- Performing fact checking, gathering documents, and managing e-Discovery processes.
- Monitoring state and federal legislation and assisting with regulatory governance and compliance.
- Attending legal proceedings and representing the company.
- Participating in projects and negotiations with business and staff.
- Entering information into databases and serving as a resource to other support staff.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of legal or related experience.
- Experience creating multi-state surveys of laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with state and federal insurance and healthcare-related laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- Experience working with provider contracts.
