Experience: 4-10 years’ administrative experience in the legal field JOB TITLE: Paralegal Assistant (Tax, Trusts, and Estates) H1: Paralegal Assistant (Tax, Trusts, and Estates) - Houston, TX H2: Full-Time Non-Exempt Position with Competitive Salary and Benefits SUMMARY: The Law Firm is seeking a Paralegal Assistant with a minimum of 4-10 years’ experience in the legal field to join their Tax, Trusts, and Estates practice group in their Houston, TX office. This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience, along with health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Draft complex estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives - Organize and handle compliance matters for various types of trusts and entities - Assist with postmortem trust administration and estate and guardianship proceedings - Prepare and review various tax returns - Interact with clients and coordinate meetings with third parties - Assist with administrative duties such as filing and calendaring - Collaborate with other departments and deliver exceptional client service - Track and record billable time QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: - Paralegal certificate and undergraduate degree preferred - Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Typing speed of 60 wpm PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Position is generally sedentary but may require occasional lifting and mobility - Efficient communication and ability to perform repetitive motions - Ability to see and read PC screens SALARY: $50,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience.
