Overview:

Chewy is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel – Employment Law to join their Legal Team in Plantation, Florida. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a fast-paced and dynamic Legal Department, providing advice and counseling on employment and labor law for Chewy's healthcare business. Collaboration with HR professionals and other business stakeholders is key in this role, as well as providing proactive training and support for employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide multi-jurisdictional employment law advice and counseling to HR professionals and business managers
- Review and revise internal policies and procedures for regulatory compliance
- Develop and deliver proactive training to business leaders on employment law matters
- Supervise outside counsel for employment litigation matters
- Provide legal representation and support for government agency charges and investigations
- Draft and negotiate employment-related documents
- Partner with HR professionals on compensation and immigration matters

Requirements:

- JD from an accredited school with exceptional academic credentials
- Minimum 6 years of experience in employment law, either in-house or with a national law firm
- Subject matter expertise in multi-jurisdictional wage hour compliance and litigation preferred
- Ability to think strategically and evaluate potential risks for the company
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Active license to practice law and ability to become licensed as in-house counsel in Florida
- Empathy, professional judgment, and a good sense of humor
- Possible travel required
