Collaboration with HR professionals and other business stakeholders is key in this role, as well as providing proactive training and support for employment law matters. Key Responsibilities: - Provide multi-jurisdictional employment law advice and counseling to HR professionals and business managers - Review and revise internal policies and procedures for regulatory compliance - Develop and deliver proactive training to business leaders on employment law matters - Supervise outside counsel for employment litigation matters - Provide legal representation and support for government agency charges and investigations - Draft and negotiate employment-related documents - Partner with HR professionals on compensation and immigration matters Requirements: - JD from an accredited school with exceptional academic credentials - Minimum 6 years of experience in employment law, either in-house or with a national law firm - Subject matter expertise in multi-jurisdictional wage hour compliance and litigation preferred - Ability to think strategically and evaluate potential risks for the company - Excellent organizational and analytical skills - Active license to practice law and ability to become licensed as in-house counsel in Florida - Empathy, professional judgment, and a good sense of humor - Possible travel required Bonus Experience: - Client operations in the healthcare industry - In-house legal experience
