In this role, you will be an integral part of our litigation team, working closely with attorneys to ensure the smooth running of the office and effective case management. From conducting pre-claim investigations and legal research to drafting pleadings and attending trials, you will play a key role in all phases of the litigation process.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal, familiar with federal and state court procedures and knowledgeable in motions, discovery, evidence, and other litigation documentation. Proficiency in MS Office and case management software is required, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-claim investigations and initial case assessments
Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court
Perform administrative duties such as calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, and manage logistics
Assist with preparation of federal and state administrative filings
Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
Prepare for trial and arbitration, including managing trial exhibits and assisting with voir-dire and witness preparation
Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
Gather relevant information from various sources, such as Lexis and Westlaw research
Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
Assist with case settlements and address client inquiries on case status and processing times
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury law
Familiarity with federal and state court litigation cases from onset to trial phase
Knowledge of federal and state procedures and court rules
Proficiency in MS Office and legal technology
Working knowledge of case management software
Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent time-management and typing skills
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills
Professional presentation and adherence to company dress code
Paralegal associates degree or relevant certification preferred
