Morrison Foerster LLP, a top-ranked Am Law 50 law firm with 18 offices worldwide, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced US Filing Specialist to join our Corporate Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication and client service skills to play a crucial role in managing . patent filing and prosecution for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of administrative patent prosecution support for . patent matters of assigned clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to deliver responsive and appropriate client service.
Utilize expertise in patent practice and USPTO procedures to prepare accurate . applications and file electronically.
Process incoming correspondence related to . patent prosecution and report to clients within firm standards.
Work with practitioners to respond to office actions and complete formalities, utilizing in-depth knowledge of . patent rules.
Monitor and ensure all deadlines are met.
Mentor and train junior staff in department.
Proactively assist with overflow work.
File and organize documents related to . patent prosecution.
Assist with client file transfers and disengagements.
Review and process vendor invoices.
Collaborate with a diverse team of patent professionals.

Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of progressive patent experience.
Strong knowledge of USPTO procedures and regulations.
Familiarity with USPTO website and related resources.
Highly detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills.
Exceptional client service skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
Strong technical aptitude.
Availability for overtime and flexible work schedule.

Salary Information:

Salary ranges may vary and are based on factors such as local market data, an applicant's skills and experience, and specific degrees and certifications. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime, health and welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range for positions in California is $85,000-$105,000, and the range for positions in Denver is $74,000-$95,000.
