The ideal candidate will have 7-10+ years of transactional and finance legal experience and possess an undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate or comparable relevant experience. As part of the legal/general support team, the Bankruptcy Paralegal Tier III will provide support to the firm's attorneys and their clients. Responsibilities may include drafting basic filings and schedules for bankruptcy court, conducting UCC searches and analyzing public records, assisting with corporate formations and transactions, and organizing and assisting with closings. The candidate should have knowledge of bankruptcy proceedings, familiarity with corporate due diligence, and experience with e-filings in various federal and state courts. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels. They should also possess strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to work independently or with little supervision, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work situations. They should also exercise independent judgment and initiative in their work. The Bankruptcy Paralegal Tier III will work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, with the details of their schedule to be discussed with their direct supervisor. The candidate should also be willing and able to occasionally travel to off-site locations. They may be called upon to work overtime as needed.
