This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the high-tech field to work with a team of experienced attorneys, patent agents, and technical advisors to draft and obtain patents for clients in mission-critical jurisdictions. Responsibilities: - Reviewing invention disclosure documents and conducting meetings to discuss new innovations - Conducting prior art searches and analyzing patentability - Drafting patent applications in various technologies, including hardware and devices, software, database technology, artificial intelligence, wireless, and image and/or signal processing - Reviewing and responding to USPTO office actions, conducting examiner interviews, and managing . and foreign dockets - Analyzing patents for due diligence and freedom to operate studies Collaboration is a key component of the role, and Mintz encourages employees to work from the office 60% of the time. This position offers the opportunity to work with demanding clients and requires a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Qualifications: - Degree in computer science, computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering - Patent prosecution experience in one or more of the following technologies: hardware and devices, software, database technology, artificial intelligence, wireless, and image and/or signal processing - Previous experience in a law firm preferred - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a team setting About Mintz: Mintz is a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm with over 500 attorneys serving clients worldwide.
