Job Description:

The paralegal at MDK will be responsible for preparing and reviewing legal notices and pleadings, monitoring court dockets, communicating with clients and courts, and updating client systems. They will also assist in training new team members and should be familiar with the legal process in all jurisdictions in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of law firm experience and a degree is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review legal notices and pleadings
- Monitor court dockets and communicate with clients and courts
- Update client systems as cases progress
- Process physical and electronic mail
- Utilize case management system to ensure timely progress of legal cases
- Support team in meeting firm expectations and goals
- Request attorney fees from clients
- Assist in training new team members
- Familiarize with legal process in all jurisdictions in Pennsylvania
- Embody and demonstrate company values in everyday work

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of law firm experience
- Located near one of our offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia, or Orlando
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Flexible, eager to learn, adaptable, and collaborative
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Respectful and open to new ideas
