Law Firm Seeks Litigation Assistant with Experience and Competitive Salary in Augusta, Georgia Summary: The Law Firm of Morgan & Morgan, dedicated to protecting consumer rights, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Litigation Assistant to join their team in Augusta, Georgia. This role will work closely with a lead attorney and litigation paralegal, and will be responsible for various administrative and organizational tasks. Responsibilities: - Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, organizing case files, and managing logistics - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow - Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation - Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents - Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with case preparation - Manage client billing and resolve billing issues - Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions - Manage and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems - Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED - Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred) - Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred) - At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department. - Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills Benefits: Morgan & Morgan offers an excellent benefits package for full-time employees, including medical and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
