Responsibilities of the Immigration Paralegal:

- Assist with, prepare, and file employment-based applications under attorney supervision
- Coordinate and prepare complex cases such as O-1 and EB-1 petitions
- Conduct audits of client documents and respond to requests for evidence
- Participate in case strategy meetings and client development activities
- Perform data entry and maintain detailed tracking and deadline monitoring
- Learn procedural and processing requirements for various non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications
- Develop knowledge of Firm and client processes
- Experience with additional immigration matters such as J-1 waivers, naturalization, and family immigration is a plus

Skills and Abilities Required:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and research skills
- Ability to adapt to change and handle competing demands
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Independent and proactive worker
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software

Requirements:

- BA or BS degree preferred
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate required
- 5+ years of professional work experience in business immigration (preferably in a law firm)
- Ability to work well with clients and experts
- Strong organizational and written communication skills
- Experience with LawLogix and/or INSZoom is a plus
- Ability to multitask and use analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

- Office setting with standard office equipment
- Sedentary work, with occasional walking and standing
- Close visual acuity required for data analysis and computer work
