Position Summary:
- Provide assistance with IP litigation support to three attorneys in the San Francisco office
- Critical coordination support in areas such as pleading and document preparation, tracking service, interacting with clients, and working with the team on ongoing matters

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, and proofread written materials, forms, and other documents in MS Word
- Data maintenance, data/electronic document management, and reporting in compliance with firm policies
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of documents on a regular basis
- Manage, monitor, and proactively follow-up on docketed and non-docketed deadlines
- Submit E-Court filings using State and Federal Court filing systems
- Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and memoranda
- Review and edit prepared documents for accuracy
- Maintain client files and document binders
- Redline contracts utilizing comparison software
- Interact with clients to create notifications and provide updates on service of process, due dates, disclosure statements, and pleading information
- Complete projects under agreed-upon deadlines
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with clients, paralegals, attorneys, and colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality of client matters
- Manage and maintain timekeepers’ schedules and calendars
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, time entry, expense reporting, email management, correspondence, initiating conflict checks, and opening matters
- Some duties may require in-office presence
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required, college level courses/degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary/Assistant in a law firm environment, with IP litigation experience
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong typing skills
- Firsthand experience with electronic and paper file organization and maintenance
- Excellent proofreading, editing, grammar, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
- Adherence to firm standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships
- Solid time management and prioritization skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
