Law Firm is Seeking Patent Agent

Law Firm is seeking an experienced patent agent with 5+ years of patent prosecution experience. The ideal candidate should possess a . or . in either cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, a related technical field, chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or an equivalent discipline. A technical background in the biological sciences and/or pharmaceutical sciences is preferred.

The ideal candidate must have experience conducting prior art searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses, analyzing patents and scientific papers to assist with patent preparation, prosecution and counseling. Additionally, they should have an excellent academic record and strong written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English. Graduate and undergraduate transcripts, as well as a writing sample, will be required.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct prior art searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses
- Analyze patents and scientific papers to assist with patent preparation, prosecution and counseling
- Assist with patent prosecution and counseling
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications
- Provide legal advice on patent prosecution and intellectual property matters
- Maintain client relationships

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of patent prosecution experience
- . or . in either cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, a related technical field, chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or an equivalent discipline
