Summary:
Steptoe LLP is seeking a motivated and experienced Intellectual Property Patent Agent, Biotechnology to join their IP Group in their New York office. The role involves assisting attorneys with patent applications, searching and analysis, and providing technical support for IP litigation and transactions. The ideal candidate will have a background in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmacology, and possess strong academic credentials and organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills. Responsibilities:
- Identify inventions and work with clients to assist in patent applications
- Conduct patent searches and analysis
- Provide technical support for IP litigation and transactions
- Work collaboratively with a high performing team
- Assume immediate responsibility for tasks
- Maintain strict confidentiality

Requirements:
- Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmacology
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Motivated and willing to assume immediate responsibility

Salary:
Expected salary is between $140,000 - $210,000, depending on experience.
