Responsibilities: Conduct family law case file in-intake, analyze facts of the case, organize, calendar, and prepare files for attorneys’ review. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents related to all family law matters. Scan, record and store client information (paperless office). Prepare Excel spreadsheets summarizing financial case data. Prepare files for Court for attorneys. Docketing. Streamline the paralegal processes and lead the attorneys. Keep attorneys on schedule with file deadlines, calendar, court dates, and mediation. Trial, Hearings and Mediation preparation in all respects, from file inception to conclusion. Drafting and finalizing disclosure statements. Drafting and completing all discovery. Answering phones and assisting clients. Filing court documents. Answering phones. Scanning and saving of all documents.

Qualification and Experience Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate or Degree preferred. Previous experience as a Paralegal in a family law litigation role. Expert-level technical skills, including in a MAC environment. Ability to prioritize and streamline. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented. Ability to take a file and run with it as highly skilled Family Law Litigation Paralegal. Impeccable work ethic. Familiarity with the Family Law Courts systems and procedures, including Cook, Kane, Lake, DuPage and Will County. Skills: Macintosh proficient (MAC), MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Clio billing software a plus, Fin Pan a plus. Advanced typing, proofing, writing, and communicating. Excellent follow-up and follow-through. Superior client service approach.
