The Legal Specialist II position at Elevance Health is responsible for providing legal support services for multiple states, enterprise-wide functions, and complex litigation. This role requires a Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of legal or related experience.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare, analyze, and evaluate legal documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Monitor state and federal legislation affecting the corporation
- Assist with regulatory governance and compliance issues
- Attend and represent the company at appropriate legal proceedings
- Participate on projects and negotiations
- Enter information into appropriate databases or document management systems

Minimum Requirements:

- Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of legal or related experience
- Familiarity with state and federal insurance and healthcare-related laws and regulations
- Experience working with provider contracts

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

- Experience creating multi-state surveys of laws and regulations
- Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
