Job Title: Senior Litigation Paralegal Location: Center City Philadelphia, PA Salary: Competitive, based on experience Experience: At least 4 years of litigation experience, including working with medical records About the Law Firm: - Well-established team with a top-notch reputation for defending healthcare-related entities and professionals. - Emphasis on loyalty, professionalism, and effective working relationships. - Smaller office feel with the benefits of a larger firm. Job Responsibilities: - Take ownership of cases and workflow. - Anticipate next steps in the litigation process and initiate activities to meet deadlines. - Complete tasks of considerable difficulty with minimal supervision. - Coordinate discovery, trial preparation, and other large projects. - Draft legal documents and conduct legal research. - Interact with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and others. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience. - Strong understanding of the defense litigation process. - Preferred experience in civil litigation, professional liability, medical malpractice, healthcare, insurance defense, or commercial litigation. - Ability to work independently and take initiative. - Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks. - Excellent communication skills. - Assertiveness to coordinate deadlines and delegate work. - Proficiency in MS Office applications, billing/time-entry, and document management systems. Equipment and Physical Demands: - Personal computer and other office equipment. - Sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. - Ability to operate standard office machines and communicate effectively. Working Conditions: - Typical office setting, Monday through Friday business hours. - Occasional overtime as required. - Criminal background screenings completed for all new hires.
