Litigation Paralegal at Personal Injury Law Firm in Orlando, FL

Salary: Based on experience

Experience: 3+ years in Personal Injury law as a Litigation Paralegal

Overview:
- Farah & Farah is a premier personal injury law firm in Southeast GA and throughout Florida
- Mission is to deliver justice for clients with relentless dedication, support, professionalism, and compassion
- Paralegal is an integral part of any litigation team, working closely with attorneys
- Responsible for conducting interviews, legal research, document filing, and attending trials (if applicable)

Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments
- Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court
- Perform administrative duties such as calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, and manage logistics
- Assist with preparation of federal and state administrative filings
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Assist with trial and arbitration preparation, including managing trial exhibits and other trial-related tasks
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gather relevant information from various sources, including Lexis and Westlaw research
- Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
- Help with voir-dire, jury selection, and witness preparation
- Assist with case settlements
- Address client inquiries about case status and appointments
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and expectations

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in Personal Injury law
- Experience working with federal and state court litigation cases from onset to trial phase
- Familiarity with federal and state procedures and court rules
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, and court procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, Dictaphone, etc.)
- Knowledge of federal filing systems
- Bilingualism is a plus
- Working knowledge of case management software
- Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as multitask
- Highly self-motivated with excellent time-management and typing skills
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills
- Professional presentation and adherence to company dress code
- Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferred
