Patent Agent
The candidate should have an advanced degree to work in the firm’s life sciences patent group. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, superior academic credentials, with backgrounds in one of the following fields: cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, organic synthetic chemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, immunology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or digital health-focused disciplines. A previous law firm or industry experience is preferred and current patent bar membership is required. Responsibilities include working with the firm’s clients and counsel in all aspects of the patent practice, including in evaluating invention disclosures, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and working on proceedings in the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
