Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant Salary: Competitive compensation offered Experience: 2+ years of complex litigation experience MG+M The Law Firm, a nationally renowned litigation law firm, is currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant with at least 2 years of complex litigation experience to join our team in Chicago, IL. We are a unified team that works closely with our clients to achieve the best results in their legal matters. As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys and paralegals, as well as assist with various office duties. Key Responsibilities: - Format and file legal documents with state and federal courts, utilizing e-filing knowledge - Proofread all documents for accuracy and completeness - Maintain and update client files - Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments - Coordinate travel arrangements for assigned attorneys - Prepare reimbursements and mileage reports - Enter, review, and revise timekeeper timesheets - Review and process vendor invoices for payment - Assist with timely conflict checks - Provide friendly and helpful telephone support for attorneys and provide relief for the receptionist as needed - Perform other office administrative duties as assigned by the Office Manager Skills and Abilities: - Proficient in Lexis Nexis, Odyssey, Pacer, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, DropBox, and Excel (Aderant knowledge is a plus) - Strong attendance and punctuality - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Exceptional customer service skills - Dependable and able to work independently - Team player with a positive attitude - Basic PC skills and ability to operate office equipment (phone system, copier, scanner, fax, and printer) Personal Attributes: - Flexible and willing to assist with various tasks - Positive and approachable demeanor - Adaptable to changes in workload and responsibilities - Able to handle high-stress situations and a demanding caseload - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Professional and confident in communication with clients and vendors - Problem solver with a strong understanding of firm policies and procedures Why Should You Apply?
