Primary Responsibilities: - Analyze and summarize damages. - Draft complaints, motions to compel, and other discovery motions. - Propound and respond to discovery. - Case file management including creating, organizing, tracking, and maintaining files. - Monitor calendars and meeting deadlines. - Document actions and input information into file database and case management software. - Document management, including review, bates labeling, and organization of documents. - Compile information for discovery responses, pleadings, and motions. - Coordinate scene examinations, destructive testing, and depositions. - Review financial and business records and prepare chronologies. - Prepare FOIA requests. - Conduct witness investigations. - Assist with trial and deposition preparation. - E-filing in both state and federal courts. Requirements: - Four-year bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate required. - 5+ years of experience in a plaintiff-oriented practice. - Knowledge of state and federal courts, civil procedure, and e-filing. - Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. - Proven computer and technology skills.
