Law Firm Seeks Experienced Litigation Assistant in Medford, Massachusetts

Morgan & Morgan is looking for a dedicated and experienced Litigation Assistant to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts. We are a leading personal injury law firm that fights for the rights of consumers against insurance companies, large corporations, and defective products. Responsibilities:

- Work closely with one of our premises liability attorneys and litigation paralegal
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Review and request medical records
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implement and improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
- Manage client billing and resolve billing issues
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Manage and organize documents in paper or electronic filing systems
- Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
