Job Summary

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and organized Global Practice Support Assistant to join their team in Houston, TX. This role will support an assigned group of attorneys and will benefit from integration into the Firm's Global Support System. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt quickly to new software and programs, meet deadlines consistently, and work proactively as a problem solver. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also required.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide administrative support, including time entry, expense reports, scheduling, and internet research
- Interact with various departments within the Firm to facilitate legal support for assignments and clients
- Use word processing and document management software to prepare and revise a variety of legal documents
- Maintain paper and electronic files in compliance with Firm policies
- Collaborate with the Firm's global support team and prioritize workload to meet Firm and client goals
- Exhibit professionalism and adhere to Firm policies, including attendance, dress code, and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

- Prior experience in a legal support role preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proactive work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and constantly changing legal environment
- Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat DC, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred
- Must be able to work core business hours with occasional flexibility for overtime
