Whitfield & Eddy Law is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with experience in complex litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have experience in various commercial and business litigation practice areas such as contracts, construction, insurance defense, personal injury, product liability, employment, and others. Appellate experience is a plus.

Position Responsibilities:

- Gathering and summarizing documentation for drafting and reviewing pleadings, briefs, motions, and forms
- Reviewing work product for privilege, completeness, and accuracy
- Utilizing E-Discovery and litigation management software for discovery requests and responses
- Conducting research to determine validity under applicable law and procedural rules
- Communicating with witnesses to gather information and conducting fact research
- Assisting in preparation for trials and appeals, including coordinating witnesses and preparing exhibits
- Proactively managing deadlines and anticipating attorney needs
- Attending trials to assist with electronic presentation of exhibits
- Assisting with all aspects of appeal work, including research and formatting of briefs
- Taking on various projects related to the legal field

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Bachelor's degree or Associate degree with completion of an accredited paralegal program
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on broad spectrum litigation
- Experience with trial presentation and litigation support software programs
- Knowledge of IA and Federal procedural rules and electronic filing systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
