Intellectual Property Patent Paralegal - Chicago; Milwaukee; Madison Quarles is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal in either our Chicago, Milwaukee or Madison office to assist with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution across multiple clients and technologies. Experience with research institutions and/or tech transfers is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities: Coordinating filing new applications. Analyzing USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence. Tracking due dates via matter management and docketing systems. Proactively preparing client reporting's and prosecution documents. Communicating with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, staff and clients regarding prosecution matters. Qualifications: At least 5 years working with intellectual property, and the majority of that spent with patent prosecution. A minimum of 2+ years of law firm experience. A bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification is desirable. Strong attention to detail and expertise working with an extensive patent prosecution docket. Exceptional client service focus. A commitment to being part of a great team. Ability to work independently and to prioritize and multi-task to complete projects effectively and efficiently.
