The Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Solicitor General will play a crucial role in coordinating and harmonizing the legal positions of the Office of the Attorney General and deciding whether to pursue certain appeals. This position will involve handling all phases of litigation, including research, pleadings, motions, briefs, consultation with clients, discovery, hearings, conferences, and settlement negotiations. The Deputy Attorney General will also be responsible for supervising the work of assigned paralegals on pleadings, discovery, and other tasks.

As a member of the Solicitor General division, the Deputy Attorney General may also have the opportunity to participate in appeals at various levels, depending on the involvement of the Appeals Division. This position is ideal for a licensed attorney in Indiana with a judicial clerkship background and a strong passion for public service and the legal field.
