Law Firm Seeking Experienced Paralegal in Chicago

MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our nationally renowned litigation team in Chicago, IL. With a focus on complex civil matters, our firm works closely with clients to advance their interests and deliver optimal results. Responsibilities:

- Serve as point of contact for asbestos clients, national counsel, and carriers
- Maintain client and product information for asbestos clients
- Work closely with assigned partner, docket attorney, and client attorney
- Monitor deadlines and maintain reminders for project deadlines
- Intake and complete New Complaint Intake Sheet for new complaints/petitions
- Review complaints/petitions, discovery answers, and deposition summaries for product identification
- Coordinate expert reporting with medical paralegal, asbestos clients, and assigned attorneys
- Prepare and update Fact and Expert Witness Disclosures and Trial Exhibit Lists
- Prepare and file Discovery responses
- Adhere to reporting requirements for asbestos clients
- Assist with pre-trial preparations and trials

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of litigation experience (experience with NYCAL asbestos litigation is a plus)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
