Job Title: IP Legal Practice Assistant

Experience: 3+ years of legal practice assistant experience, intellectual property experience required

Location: Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Santa Ana, California

Firm Overview:

Frost Brown Todd LLP is a nationally recognized law firm with over 1000 legal and business professionals in sixteen markets. We are currently seeking an IP Legal Practice Assistant to join our team in California. This individual will be responsible for supporting multiple legal professionals within our Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Responsibilities:

- Drafting, proofreading, and preparing legal documents
- Coordinating document preparation, including printing, scanning, copying, and faxing
- Maintaining and updating calendars for attorneys
- Processing expense reimbursements and coordinating client billing
- Assisting with electronic time record submissions
- Executing electronic filing of trademark applications
- Preparing reports for clients using software programs
- Filing assignments, mergers, and other legal documents

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of legal practice assistant experience
- Intellectual property experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and basic knowledge of Excel
- Team-oriented with the ability to work professionally with clients and colleagues
- Ability to handle confidential information
