Adjunct Professor, Online Master of Laws (.) Program at Reputed Law Firm
Position Summary:
- The **Members Only** is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Adjunct Professors for the Online Master of Laws (.) program.
- Adjunct faculty will design and teach courses, facilitate course activities, provide students with timely feedback, and grade assignments and exams.
- These positions are part-time and not benefit-eligible.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the syllabus and update course modules as needed.
- Use the learning management system (Blackboard) and adhere to university policies and procedures.
- Review course content, activities, and assignments prior to the start of the term.
- Provide students with timely and specific feedback.
- Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
- Offer weekly office hours for individual or group consultation.
- Submit final grades and end-of-semester feedback.
- Maintain open communication with university faculty and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree, Juris Doctor, or other relevant graduate degree from an accredited institution.
- Expertise and professional experience in general law education, with a focus on areas such as Business Law, Criminal Law & Procedure, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property, International Law, National Security Law, Public Interest and Social Justice, or Political Law.
- Previous experience teaching adult learners in an academic or corporate setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Previous experience teaching at the graduate level.
- Proficiency in using Blackboard or other online learning platforms.
Conditions of Employment:
- Part-time position paid semi-monthly over the term of the course.
- This is a restricted term position.
