Job Title: Bankruptcy Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff regarding procedures utilized in the law firm’s bankruptcy practice, including steps in the process, documents, local filing requirements, and judicial tendencies.
- Provide loan level recommendations and ensure associated policies and procedures comply with the Federal Bankruptcy Code, local rules, case law, etc.
- Review bankruptcy filings such as proofs of claim, notices of mortgage payment change, and notices of fees and costs.
- Draft pleadings, motions, certifications, objections, orders, memoranda, and letters.
- Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and other appearances.
- Keep clients apprised of status and developments in cases with appropriate communication via e-mail, telephone, and client systems.
- Promptly review and respond to communications received via phone, e-mail, client systems, opposing counsel, court staff, trustees, mediators, etc.
- Escalate matters when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- . from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Bar admission in good standing (any state).
- 1+ years’ experience representing secured creditors/mortgage services is preferred, but not required.
- Bankruptcy or Default Mortgage Industry experience preferred, but not required.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
