McDonald Hopkins is a full-service law firm with a growing Estate Planning and Probate practice, seeking a highly experienced Member level Trusts and Estates attorney to join our team in either Cleveland or Detroit. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with sophisticated clients and collaborate with other practice groups within our firm. We are looking for a creative, self-motivated individual with a minimum of 10 years of experience in complex estate planning to join our progressive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement complex estate planning strategies for clients
- Oversee and manage estate and trust administration matters
- Advise clients on estate and gift tax strategies
- Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
- Prepare estate and gift tax returns
- Assist in business succession planning for clients
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in complex estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and gift tax strategies, business succession planning, and estate and gift tax return preparation
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Book of business preferred, but not required
- LLM or business background preferred, but not necessary
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
