Job Title: Associate - Private Client
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate in the Private Client group is expected to work collaboratively within the team to provide legal services in the areas of estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on estate planning strategies to ensure their goals are met and legal obligations are fulfilled.
- Managing probate processes, ensuring the legal transfer of assets in accordance with wills and state laws.
- Administering trusts, which involves managing and distributing trust assets as per the terms of the trust agreement.
- Engaging in estate and gift tax planning to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal services.
- Utilizing advanced technological resources to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. The ideal candidate should have:
- At least three years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
- Preferably, additional experience in estate and gift tax planning.
- Experience in a private law practice is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience in related fields such as trust officers will also be considered.
- A comprehensive understanding of estate and gift tax laws and regulations.
