Tax Partner - Family Office - High Net Worth

RSM is seeking a highly experienced Tax Partner to join our family office/high net worth tax practice. This is a full-time position with locations available in Houston, Chicago, San Francisco, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Dallas, Tampa, Austin, New York, Miami, Irvine, and Boston.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with high net worth multi-generational wealthy families and their private businesses and/or investment entities, as well as family offices. You will provide compliance and consulting services, utilizing your expertise in taxation to address the complex needs of these clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tax consulting services for family office/high net worth clients
- Analyze and diagnose clients' tax needs, and develop and implement effective solutions
- Review tax returns for wealthy family members, trusts, investment entities, and private businesses
- Manage a book of business and support financial growth efforts
- Collaborate with clients, internal managers, and partners
- Supervise and review the work of team staff members

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA license or JD required
- 12+ years of continuous public accounting or family office tax experience
- Strong experience with high net worth clients and various tax areas
- Ability to plan client engagements and manage compliance projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional client service skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Taxation or Law Degree
- Experience working for a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm
- Experience with Private Foundations
- Exposure to foreign asset reporting and filings
- Proven ability to develop new business relationships
