Job Title: Junior Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance and support to the company on a wide range of matters, including healthcare regulations, contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and risk management.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, managers, and department heads, to provide legal advice and guidance.
- Represent the company in various legal proceedings as necessary.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on various matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about emerging legal trends and best practices in healthcare.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the bar and licensed to practice law in New Jersey (required) and New York (preferred).
- Experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on healthcare law, litigation, or business law.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Salary Information:
- Base salary range: $80,000 - $120,000.
- Additional commission bonus: $50,000 - $100,000 per year.
- Compensation is dependent on experience (DOE).
