Assistant Professor- Teaching- Legal Research and Writing
Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant Professor in the Legal Research and Writing (LRW) Program will be responsible for teaching first-year Legal Research and Writing courses. Additionally, the role may include teaching upper-level legal writing classes such as Appellate Advocacy and Legal Drafting. These responsibilities involve preparing students for success by providing high-quality education and fostering a rich learning environment that emphasizes legal writing excellence.
Education and Experience Information:
Applicants for this position must hold a Juris Doctor (.) degree and have a strong academic record. The ideal candidates will have demonstrated excellence in legal writing and possess at least one year of experience in court clerkship, legal practice, and/or teaching legal writing. A passion for teaching future legal advocates is essential for this role.
Salary Information:
The position offers an annual salary, with the minimum and maximum salary to be determined (TBD).
Working Conditions:
This academic position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement between the university and the American Association of University Professors' local chapter. The agreement addresses wages, benefits, hours, and other employment terms and conditions.
