## Job Description

XYZ Law Firm is looking for an experienced Patent Agent or Patent Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree or higher in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field and have experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to biotechnology and pharmaceutical inventions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, developing patent strategies for clients, and managing their US and international patent portfolios. They will also be responsible for filing and prosecuting incoming patent applications from foreign clients and associates, communicating with foreign associates to provide instructions for prosecution of foreign patent applications for domestic clients, and preparing Freedom-to-Operate and Patentability Opinions.

## Qualifications

- Master’s degree or higher in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field
- Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to biotechnology and pharmaceutical inventions.
- Expertise in US and international patent law
- Excellent communication and writing skills

## Salary

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
