A prominent law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in New York. Location:

Duties:

• Handle litigation related to creditors’ rights and financial restructuring

• Draft and argue motions including summary judgment, motions to dismiss, and complex discovery motions

• Participate in trial preparation, motion practice, and depositions

• Assist in resolving business insolvencies involving secured transactions and multi-party disputes

• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas including corporate, tax, labor, and securities

• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

• Engage in client-facing work and participate in strategy discussions

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in commercial litigation, with an emphasis on bankruptcy-related matters

• Demonstrated interest in bankruptcy law or prior exposure to restructuring practice

• Experience with trial preparation and advanced motion practice

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and balance competing priorities

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Strong oral advocacy and analytical abilities

• Familiarity with UCC Article 9 and secured transactions law

• Proficiency in managing complex discovery issues

• Ability to work in-office collaboratively across legal teams
