Arnold & Porter, a leading law firm, is currently seeking a junior to mid-level patent litigation associate to join our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group. This position is available in our Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Washington, DC offices.
Our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group consists of approximately 100 attorneys who specialize in advising clients on all aspects of their most valuable assets, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, trade secrets, and related matters. Our Patent Litigation team is composed of experienced trial and appellate lawyers who use strategic approaches and technological knowledge to protect and defend our clients' patent rights in cutting-edge areas of technology. Our clients include major companies such as Samsung, Adobe, Boston Scientific Corporation, Charter, Crocs, Google, Tesla, and Nike.
We are looking for applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings. A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field is preferred, along with some familiarity with source code. Excellent academic credentials and references are a must.
Applicants must be currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) where they apply.
The salary range for this position is $235,000 to $365,000, commensurate with experience, and an hours-based bonus is also available.
