Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC Reviews

Advice to law firm management: HR needs to be reevaluated and changed to protect their employees. Support staff should be treated fairly. Partners need to be respectful and professional.

Pros: Junior level associates and support staff are a pleasure to work with in case you have any questions.

Cons: Partners of the firm do not take you seriously. Agree with most of the posts about the superiority they feel towards staff. HR does nothing to protect you just to save their faces and keep their jobs, especially that the partners are watching. I developed major anxiety of the unknown. Asking a simple question to your partners is an impossible task.

Partners to Avoid and Why: NY office/Syracuse office

Favorite Things About this Firm: Junior level associates and support staff are a pleasure to work with in case you have any questions.

Advice to law firm management: Hire better management, sit down with the partners and have them put pen to paper to teach them to not be disrespectful, inconsiderate and know-it-all's to their staff like children. Staff come to work, for them, work hard each day, for them, take on the stress, for them. They are no better and not superior to anyone and shame on them for continuing the pattern of behavior.

Pros: Junior level associates, location, administrative staff and support staff.

Cons: I agree with the other reviews. What a JOKE. The worst of the worst. Partners are demeaning, unprofessional. Was yelled at for "not knowing" the answer to a question and it was my FIRST WEEK. Because I needed this job, I endured the emotional stress and degrading behavior of the partners and staff. Their practice I am sure is not 100% truthful and lawful. After a about a year, I had to leave. The unprofessional, condensing and know-it-all behavior of the partners in the New York and Buffalo offices affected my personal and professional life. Even after working hard, end of the year, there was no recognition and no raise. The best thing I did was leave and trust me, no job is worth that stress.

Partners to Avoid and Why: Partners in the Manhattan and Buffalo offices.

Favorite Things About this Firm: Leaving the job.

Summer associate program

Bond conducts an extensive summer program for second-year law students. Students selected to participate in the summer program spend approximately 10 weeks in rotation through at least four departments and/or practice areas of the firm.

Although work assignments focus primarily on research and writing, law students have opportunities to observe and work with members and associates as they engage in their daily practices. Law students can expect to participate in client meetings, judicial and administrative proceedings, and other outside activities during the course of their summer.

The summer program allows law students to become familiar with the firm's practice and people. Through the rotation program and the many social activities scheduled during the summer, law students become acquainted with our attorneys and support staff and gain a realistic insight into life at Bond.

Everyone Loves LawCrossing

LawCrossing is fantastic! When I am looking for a job, it is the first place I come to. The service is very good and I enjoyed the emails. LawCrossing has more jobs and it is more tailored. Other sites gave a lot of irrelevant results. Your site may have a great algorithm, but it felt like an actual person choosing jobs they felt would be good based on my search. I will always recommend this site!
