What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
We should expand practice areas and geographical reach. And build on our core strengths. We could use more corporate transactional people
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Now settled into our new DC office space, I feel the collegiality of our firm even stronger. Our shareholders really reach out and work with others and make all feel at home. At the same time, there is a very high level of professionalism and ethics; people take pride in their work product and service to clients.
What did you not like about this institution?
Maybe some annoying firm bureaucracy , but that's offset by the superb firm management, and excellent staff who help us through it. Same with IT department.

Provide a better work/life balance. Work on raising staff morale.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The benefits are great. Lawyers are incredibly smart and caring. The environment is professional.
What did you not like about this institution?
Morale is down after the economic lows. Some of the staff have poor attitudes. There is not a good balance between work and life.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Management at this firm needs to be more consistent. If management cannot run a law firm then it will fail and people will leave.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I had a great experience working at Butzel Long. The training was done very well and I really felt I had a strong grasp on the position. The pay is also pretty good compared to other firms in the area. I also really liked the hours 9-5.
What did you not like about this institution?
My only issue with this firm is management. People would often come and go and it would feel like a bit of a revolving door all the time. Management could have been a lot better about dealing with issues.
