What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
It is hard to maintain work life balance as project deadlines are often aggressive. Plenty of opportunities to grow your career as desired.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is a high pace environment Law Firm but very rewarding once a project is complete. Wonderful environment and held to high standards. They will do anything to make sure their employees are happy. I would say that the culture is very employee friendly.
What did you not like about this institution?
Steep learning curve. You need to be ready for a lot of changes and to handle uncertainty. No real work life balance possible due demands at work.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Management should hire a new crew to make sure that everything is working and functioning perfectly throughout the week so that we do not have to deal with unexpected maintenance issues.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This place has been voted as one of the top work places in D.C. for a reason! The client to staff communication and relationship is top notch! The pay and benefits are outstanding and very competitive!
What did you not like about this institution?
I have found there to be more maintenance issues than I would have liked to admit that have interrupted my work flow. We had a water leak not too long ago that caused me to delay my work for a few days.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Nothing.
What did you not like about this institution?
Lots of window dressing. It wants to be seen as a top firm, but it is not. Why? It is client-poor and they take any bottom feeder as a client and a lot of has-beens. The market rate comp is just for the first year. On the website, every practice group is padded with lawyers that don't really work in the group to make the firm look bigger. A partner had such a potty mouth, I've heard truck drivers that sound better educated and more sophisticated. Associates are dog-eat-dog. Bullies and their eunuchs. Trailer trash support staff.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
That I left!
