This is a fantastic firm to work for. The entire place is helpful and encouraging and they all want the best for one another. They give you the tools you need to be successful and to grow in your skill set.
Cons:
Communication in this firm can sometimes get crossed and that can become a barrier if you can't work through that. It's best to use a chain of command concept because you can and will at times get lost in the cracks.

Advice to law firm management:
Stay for 2-3 years and then move on.... not worth staying as any effort and dedication to the firm will not be repaid.
Pros:
The firm expends a lot of time and effort in training and new developments. Support staff generally very good and knowledgeable.
Cons:
Very much a 2 tier environment. The Directors tend to be very arrogant and dismissive of associates. The culture has changed over the years with very little transparency and heavy politics.

Sterne Kessler seeks students with bachelor's degrees in science and/or engineering. Advanced degrees in those areas are strongly preferred. All applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in undergraduate, graduate, and law school studies. PTO or other industry work experience a plus. Teamwork, motivation, collaboration, work ethic, and universal respect are core values of the firm.
The firm has not reported whether it counts pro bono hours towards the minimum billable hours requirement. Pro bono hours are counted the same as billable hours for the purposes of year-end bonuses.
