Morris, Manning, & Martin, LLP Reviews

Advice to law firm management: If managers see people having off days they should just have them take some vacation time to get rid of some of that stress.

Pros: Most people here are some of the best at what they do in the field and we get pay to match that experience.

Cons: The managers here are extremely strict and you will have problems if you have too many off days in a row.

Advice to law firm management: I think that something should probably be done to make sure that the partners are not showing favoritism or treating people badly.

Pros: The pay and benefits offered here are pretty good, and there are a lot of experts walking the halls. Associates and support staff are very friendly, for the most part.

Cons: Some of the partners in the firm don't always treat everyone with respect. It's almost as if they think they are better than others. I don't often see these people so it doesn't affect me very much, but I've heard about it.

Summer associate program

Morris, Manning & Martin hosts a Summer Associate Program in our Atlanta (Buckhead) office. Our Summer Associate Program is designed to give law students a realistic understanding of our Firm and learn first hand what it means to be a lawyer at MMM. Summer associates will attend client meetings, hearings, trials, depositions and negotiations, and will receive valuable hands-on experience through our work assignment process.

Summer associates regularly receive formal and informal feedback from the attorneys with whom they work with throughout the summer. All summer associates also receive a mid-summer and an end-of-summer review. Each summer associate is assigned a mentor who serves as the summer associates advocate throughout the summer as well as a "go-to" person for questions about the firm culture, work assignments, social events, business etiquette, etc.

Summer associates are invited to attend the CLE and training programs that are offered to our attorneys. There are also various programs that are designed specifically for the summer associates, including business development and marketing, business etiquette, writing skills, law firm economics, research skills, etc. These programs along with attorney interaction on projects and work assignments help law students to build a foundation to be successful lawyers.

I came back to LawCrossing to search through the listings in my new job search because I had been able to get my last 2 jobs through using the site. I love the search capacity and filters. This is a very valuable service.
