Keep training and developing new associates. This will benefit everyone involved, including the firm as a whole. A formal training program would help even more.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This is a well-established and well respected firm with a lot of talent walking the halls. It's been a great place to grow my career and I've learned a lot of different things from a lot of different people over the years.

What did you not like about this institution?
Expectations here are high, and associates who want to advance should prepare to put up with long hours and late nights.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Management should hold more events throughout the year and allow more flexibility in terms of work scheduling. I'd also like to see the firm hire some younger attorney's to help balance this firm and make it a bit less traditional.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The health benefits are excellent and even though the firm is quite strict in terms of what hours you are expected to be there, I have found that I was never overburdened with work since there are always staff members to assist you.

What did you not like about this institution?
Everyone is very friendly and cordial albeit a bit too serious at times which can be off putting if you are new to the field. I did find the starting salary to be on the low side. I really found the serious tone of this firm and lack of advancement to be very off putting.

Egos at law firms are a norm however this isnt the case for U&B- Overall great environemnt.ConsNone, U&B doesnt have any.
