H2: $75,000-$78,000 Annually - Regular Full-Time Position

The Reputed Firm in Washington, DC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Attorney to join our team. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $75,000 to $78,000 annually. As a Staff Attorney, you will provide legal counsel and representation to eligible litigants through the Family Law Assistance Network (FLAN) in the Domestic Relations Branch of the DC Superior Court. You will also have the opportunity to mentor volunteer attorneys and lead training sessions for both attorneys and non-attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide same-day legal services through the Family Law Assistance Network (FLAN) to qualifying parents or third-party caregivers with cases in the Domestic Relations Branch of DC Superior Court.
- Provide legal advice, limited scope representation, and full representation to qualifying litigants in family law matters.
- Mentor and train volunteer attorneys, law students, and paralegals.
- Develop and compile training and resource materials.
- Refer appropriate matters to the Pro Bono Center’s Advocacy & Justice Clinic and other legal services providers.
- Identify emerging issues, develop recommendations, and implement new programs and projects.
- Collaborate with other Pro Bono Center clinics and projects involving family law matters.
- Conduct community outreach and provide legal education and “Know Your Rights” trainings.
- Draft forms, pleadings, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
- Assist in preparing reports for internal and grant reporting.
- Facilitate improvements in the Pro Bono Center’s case management system.
- Support other Pro Bono Center clinics as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- . from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member of **Members Only** and in good standing.
- Active practice experience in ., including extensive experience handling family law cases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Legal Server.
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills.
- Must be adaptable, creative, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling a variety of poverty law matters.
- Experience with a legal services organization that provides legal services to indigent individuals.
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Experience working with domestic violence cases.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
