Job Title: Casualty Claims Adjuster

Job Responsibilities:
- Handle multiple injury or casualty features identified upon report or likely to arise during the investigation of the claim.
- Review all claims assignments to ensure accuracy of prior claim handling in the development of ongoing claims strategies.
- Proactively investigate and resolve coverage, liability, and damages.
- Ensure proper diary management on all claims.
- Accurately evaluate special and general damages.
- Escalate all potential large loss and extra contractual exposures through the management chain.
- Negotiate settlement of claims directly with the injured party, legal guardian, or attorney.
- Deliver customer service according to company expectations.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of claims experience managing injury inventory.
- Ability to secure and maintain an adjuster's license within 90 days of hire.
- Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and exercise strong, sound judgment.

Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical journals/procedures, and financial reports and data.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, clients, and customers.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of financial, legal, and technical information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong orientation to customer service.
- Ability to prioritize activities and projects while staying organized.
- Ability to process high volumes of work while meeting deadlines.
