This role focuses on complex insurance coverage and reinsurance matters, representing global insurers and their insureds across diverse insurance lines. The successful candidate will support a collaborative legal team while gaining substantial exposure to high-value, complex cases and direct client engagement. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to work with one of the largest global insurance law practices.

Duties:
Manage individual caseloads of complex insurance litigation and policy coverage matters
Support partners and senior attorneys on larger cases involving reinsurance and cross-border claims
Conduct legal analysis and develop strategic legal solutions for insurance coverage disputes
Draft and review litigation documents, correspondence, and detailed reports
Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
Ensure compliance with internal case management protocols and client service agreements
Contribute to the overall success of the team through knowledge sharing and collaboration
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in litigation or insurance coverage
Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
Experience working with global or commercial insurers is a plus
Demonstrated understanding of insurance law and litigation best practices
Client-facing experience and ability to handle sensitive or high-pressure matters with professionalism
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative work style
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar (mandatory)
Skills:
Exceptional legal writing and drafting abilities
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Commercial acumen and the ability to tailor strategies to client needs
Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
Familiarity with insurance policy language and contractual interpretation
