Job Title: Risk Management Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
As a Risk Management Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Risk Management Department's commitment to patient safety and risk reduction. Your responsibilities will include:

- Claims and Legal Coordination: You will handle various claims processes, including recordkeeping, reporting, and coordinating with relevant parties. This involves facilitating the processing of legal documents, subpoenas, depositions, litigation holds, and assisting with investigations and analysis of adverse events.

- Administrative Support: You will support the Risk Manager with tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, taking minutes, and managing communications within the department and across other organizational units.

- Insurance and Compliance: You will assist with the collection, organization, and submission of data for insurance renewals and coordinate Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests. Tracking renewal timelines and ensuring compliance with both internal and external requirements are also part of your duties.

- Risk Management Initiatives: You will contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and education efforts aimed at risk reduction and elimination across the organization.

Education and Experience Information:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or experience as a paralegal or in office administration within insurance or healthcare is preferred.

- Experience: Prior experience in an administrative support role is preferred, especially in healthcare, risk management, insurance, compliance, or quality assurance.

- Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and familiarity with database systems are essential. A detail-oriented approach and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are required.

- Key Competencies: Excellent communication skills to support effective internal and external communication, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work under direction while following procedures accurately.
