Job Responsibilities
The General Liability Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing all phases of insurance defense litigation. This includes, but is not limited to, case management, motion practice, and discovery processes. The candidate will also handle hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. The role requires the ability to represent defendants in significant exposure cases across various general liability areas. The attorney will provide defense for property and personal injury claims for both businesses and individuals, whether they are insured or self-insured. The position involves working closely with seasoned and well-respected trial attorneys within the law firm, focusing on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases.
Education and Experience Information
Candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree and admission to the Nevada Bar is required. The ideal candidate should have between two (2) to seven (7) years of experience in insurance defense litigation. Strong research and writing skills are essential, as is substantive litigation experience. While prior insurance defense experience is preferred, candidates with excellent skills in any litigation arena will be considered.
